JAMES Guy's momentum shows no sign of abating at the Olympic Games.
Fresh from picking up his first ever gold medal and helping the mixed 4x100m medley relay team to a final, he was again in top form in his latest race.
Alongside Luke Greenbank, James Wilby and Duncan Scott, the former Cardinal Newman High School pupil helped Team GB to win their heats in the men's 4x100m medley relay.
Guy swam the butterfly leg as Great Britain edged the Russian Olympic Committee into second place, with hosts Japan third in a heat that saw the top three finishers separated by just over half a second.
Guy and his teammates have qualified second-fastest behind Italy for the final, which is currently scheduled for 3.36am UK time on Sunday morning.
Before then, he will be alongside ex-Great Sankey High School student Kathleen Dawson as well as Adam Peaty and Freya Anderson in the mixed relay final early tomorrow morning.
