WHAT a week for Great British swimming.
Adam Peaty firstly won gold in the mens 100m breaststroke with a remarkable time of 57.37 seconds.
And that has been followed by Warrington's own James Guy who has won the town's first gold medal success in Olympic games history.
The former Cardinal Newman High School student along with Tom Dean, Matthew Richards and Duncan Scott won in the 4x200m freestyle relay during the early hours of this morning.
In honour of that swimming success and the fact the gold medals are likely to inspire others to get involved in swimming, we thought we would round up the swimming clubs and facilities in Warrington that you or your family can join.

Village Hotel
At the hotel is a gym as part of their health and wellness club.
They say: “Our 23m heated swimming pool in Warrington is perfect for a cool down after a hard workout, or as a workout in itself with one of our aqua classes. After your workout, our spa pool, steam room and sauna are on hand for some relaxation."
Lymm Leisure Centre
Swimming sessions are still on a pre-booking basis, which can be booked over the phone after 3pm weekdays.
People can also apply for swimming lessons but they have a waiting list for most stages.
Livewire’s sites
As part of the learn to swim programme, swimming lessons are available through Livewire at Woolston Neighbourhood Hub, Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub, Broomfields Leisure Centre and Orford Jubilee Neighbourhood Hub.
If like Peaty and Guy, you have a competitive streak in you, you could join Warrington Warriors, whereby all members are encouraged to compete in internal or external galas.
Athelis

They say: "Heated to 32ºC all year round, you can enjoy an outdoor swim every single day and when Summer arrives take time out to bask on the terrace of our exclusive outdoor patio. You’ll never want to leave."
Penketh Pool
If you are thinking more so for your child as opposed to yourself with Peaty inspiring the next generation, Water Babies in Penketh can help your little one take on the world in the water.
The classes are capped at 10 children, are 30 minutes long and water skills are taught through song, play and repetition.
