NO doubt Warrington Wolves fans would have been wondering about a few scoring facts on the back of the 6-2 success at St Helens last time out.
Stanski has been pouring through the club records to determine if there has been a lower scoring game involving Wire during the Super League era and to work out when Saints, champions for the past two seasons, last failed to score a try in a league game on their Totally Wicked Stadium ground.
And here's the pearling stats he has found that you might want to test on fellow Wire fans:
1. The total of 8 points scored in Thursday's clash is the lowest in a Warrington Super League game
2. This is the lowest scoring Warrington league game since December 26, 1990, when a 6-2 loss was suffered at the hands of Widnes at Wilderspool Stadium
Tony Myler blocks Des Drummond's path when Wire lost 6-2 to Widnes on Boxing Day, 1990
3. It is the first time Saints have failed to score a try in a Super League game at their Totally Wicked Stadium
4. The last time that The Wire kept St Helens to two or less points at their ground in a league game was way back in November 1962 when Warrington won 4-2
