WARRINGTON'S Holly Lam-Moores will be in action again this morning with the TeamGB women's handball team in the London Olympics.
The 22-year-old, who grew up in Orford, will be hoping the team can produce their best performance yet against Angola in the Olympic Park Copper Box at 9.30am.
The team, who are making their Olympic debut this time round, have lost to Montenegro, Russian Federation and most recently Brazil on Wednesday.
They were defeated 30-17 by high-flying Brazil in Group A despite some periods of good play against a side who finished fifth in the World Championships.
Playing in front of another vociferous and packed crowd, Great Britain gave their rivals a good run for their money with Marie Gerbron and Britt Goodwin scoring twice each in the first 18 minutes and helped GB stay just two goals behind Brazil at 6-8.
However, six unanswered goals gave Brazil a lead that GB were unable to claw back.
“Brazil were confident and deserved winners,” said left winger Lam-Moores, who was among the scorers.
“They got off to a great start and we gave ourselves far too much to do to get back into contention for the rest of the game.
“However, I think we’ve learned a lot as a group of players from playing in the Olympics and I believe the experience will make us not only a stronger squad but one that will get better and better over the next two or three years.”
