RICHARD Egington and the TeamGB rowing men’s eight bid to reach the Olympic Games final this morning.
Two places in Wednesday’s final are up for grabs in the repechage at Eton Dorney at 9.50am.
Ex-Lymm High School pupil Egington, aged 33, and his crew finished second to world champions Germany in Saturday’s heat and must now race again to have another shot at Germany and heat one winners USA in 48 hours’ time.
TeamGB actually had the second fastest time with 5:27.61 but will join Olympic champions Canada, Netherlands, Australia, Ukraine and Poland in the repechage on Lake Dorney.
