WOOLSTON Rovers overcame Warrington IMBRL on their return to the North West Counties League after a two-year absence.
Warrington IMBRL were making their first appearance in the league in the Division Six encounter and took the lead with an early penalty from Andy Hawley.
Woolston hit back when John Dack supplied Paul Berry, and they led 4-2 at half time before racing into a 14-point lead after the interval thanks to tries from Steve Martin and Mike Walker.
Karl Case crashed over to give IMBRL hope but Martin then put Billy Maunder over for Rovers.
And the visitors sealed victory when Martin grabbed his second try after an IMBRL error.
