ALDER Root Golf Club have clinched the Brunswick Junior Golf League title after overcoming Poulton Park in the final event.
Alder Root trailed to Poulton Park with one match left but Scott Hayes' stableford tally of 41 points gave them victory.
League organiser David Owen said: "Scott's score was always going to be the crucial decider and he delivered on the day for his team."
Alder Root will now represent the league in the regional finals at Mere Golf and Country Club, as well as competing for the Bob Meston Trophy in the newly formed Cheshire team event.
Ben Thompson won the sixth round of Poulton Park's Mike Hall Series after edging out Tom Jackson in a card play-off.
Luke Filson won the seventh round - his first club win - with 46 points but Jackson was second with 42 points to snatch the series from Nathan Chadwick, who missed the last two rounds while on holiday.
Chadwick recently gained the first hole-in-one of his career during the High Legh Junior Open.
