WOLVES will confirm a place in the Super League play-offs for a second successive year if they win at Leeds tomorrow, Friday.

The club - currently sixth in the table - have never reached successive Super League play-offs, but even if they lose at Leeds a slip-up by Harlequins at Castleford on Saturday would secure their spot.

"It's massive for us to get that play-off place," said assistant coach Gary Chambers. "We set a target that we had to get in the play-offs this year. Once we've done that we can start looking ahead and building for the play-off games."

With only three league games remaining, Wolves are out of the race for the top four but are still level on points with fifth-placed Salford.

Both fifth and sixth are away in the first round of the play-offs, though, and head coach Paul Cullen is more concerned about getting his team to peak in the next few weeks than the fight for fifth spot.

He said: "Once we're in the top six, fifth or sixth isn't a great concern.

"Once we've not got third or fourth we don't get the home game, so we've known for a long while we're going to have to do it the hard way, and we're prepared for that.

"Ever since we hit the bad run, our thoughts have been about mustering the troops for the push at the end of the season.

"We're fighting to be in the six and if we are, with the guys fit at the end, we think we can have a real push for the Grand Final."
