Warrington Wizards 24 Featherstone Lions 33
MIKE Grady has threatened changes to Warrington Wizards’ line up as he tries to find a winning formula to defeat Dewsbury this weekend. The assistant coach says the pressure is on his players following back-to-back defeats in the Co-operative Rugby League Conference National.
“I expect a reaction,” he said.
“We cannot play like we have for the past two weeks and expect to do well.”
Wizards, without a win after losing at home to Featherstone Lions on Saturday, host a Celtics team with maximum points on the board after two rounds.
Kick off at Wilderspool is 3pm.
Grady said: “They will provide a stern test.
“We’ll have to match them as they’ll come to town with confidence, but it’s a contest we have to win to get us back on track.”
Wizards left themselves with too much to do on Saturday after conceding three tries in the early exchanges.
Anthony Rourke and player coach Chris Campbell crossed in reply, both converted by Warren Ayres, to leave them four points adrift at the interval.
Lions repeated their first half trick after half time though, running in three further tries.
Campbell claimed a second score, converted by Nick Owen, and Alan Reddecliff authored another but Wizards ran out of time.
