A 21-YEAR-OLD woman from Warrington cleaned up in her first attempt at the British Transplant Games.
Laura White gained five medals - golds in the high jump and the 100m freestyle, silver in the 50m freestyle and bronzes in table tennis and the shot put.
She was competing in her first Transplant Games, only two years after her heart transplant operation.
White was the only female member of the nine-strong Team Wythenshawe, representing cardiac and lung transplant charity New Start.
Janice Taylor, from New Start, said: "Laura is a shining example of how it's possible to make a successful and speedy recovery from major surgery.
"Only two years ago, Laura could barely walk - and now she's competing in track and swimming events."
