WOLVES boss Tony Smith has named his 19-man squad to take on Castleford Tigers at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday, kick off 8pm.

Under 20s half back Gareth O'Brien retains his spot in the squad after a strong showing against Keighley Cougars in the Challenge Cup fourth round match on Sunday.

Jon Clarke also gets the nod to return to first team action, after the 32-year-old hooker played in the under 20s team that defeated Salford City Reds at the weekend.

Wolves' coach Tony Smith said: "Castleford have done really well this year.

"It’s only been in the last few Super League games that they’ve probably faltered slightly which makes them even more dangerous for our fixture because they’ll be keen to get back to winning ways.

"They have shown they are a very, very capable team and have at different stages been leading the competition.

"They’ve played some terrific Rugby League with the ball and also in defence so that makes for a really good challenge for us today and one we’ve been looking forward to for some time."

Wolves 19-man squad: Louis Anderson, Ryan Atkins, Matty Blythe, Chris Bridge, Lee Briers, Garreth Carvell, Jon Clarke, Mike Cooper, Simon Grix, Mickey Higham, Brett Hodgson, Matt King, Joel Monaghan, Michael Monaghan, Adrian Morley, Gareth O’Brien, David Solomona, Ben Westwood, Paul Wood.
