LOCKING STUMPS' Stephen Jordan played a key part in Manchester City's victory against Arsenal on Saturday after stepping in for controversial left back Ben Thatcher.
Jordan, who now lives in Newton, had been kept out of the side by Thatcher in City's opening two games of the season.
But the club's decision to suspend Thatcher after a horrific tackle on Portsmouth's Pedro Mendes paved the way for 24-year-old Jordan to play in the 1-0 home win against the Gunners.
