Second women's side for Lymm.

LYMM Hockey Club will field two women's teams in the Cheshire League this season after a glut of interest forced them to expand their plans.

The club, who took part in a mixed hockey tournament in Wilmslow at the weekend, had intended to enter one team into the league after recently setting up the women's section but more than 40 players have already commenced training.

Lymm are now looking for a goalkeeper and anyone interested in getting involved can contact club chairman Andrew Scowcroft on 07886 761889.

CULCHETH Croquet Club returned to winning form on Saturday, beating Fylde 15-7 despite having to concede 128 shots to the high-handicap Fylde players.

Culcheth's Margaret Williams put in a fine performance, winning all her matches.

Culcheth, the current NW Golf Croquet champions, remain top of the league with one more match against Bury next month.

WOOLSTON Rovers Amateur Rugby League Football Club's open-age pre-season training is continuing at Bennetts Recreation Ground in preparation for the forthcoming season and new players would be made welcome.
