TWO members of Warrington Rowing Club will play important roles at the World Rowing Championships next week.
Chris Johnstone and Mike Pownall, who have both enjoyed success in the junior 15 category in recent times, have progressed through a series of trials to earn their places in the support team for the regatta at Eton in Berkshire, which runs from Sunday until August 27.
They will take their places as stake boat holders at the start line, getting a chance to observe the world's greatest rowers at close hand.
