APPLETON Cricket Club's women's team lost heavily to Poynton despite an outstanding performance from player of the match Jenny Clarke.
Clarke clean-bowled four of Poynton's batters as they posted a total of 144 for 5. Appleton lost wickets regularly throughout their innings, finishing on 54 all out.
