GREENALLS Padgate St Oswalds kicked off their Mid-Cheshire Soccer League First Division campaign with a win against the reigning champions on Saturday.
Rob Taylor turned and gave Greenalls, who travel to Knutsford on Saturday at 3pm, the lead in the opening stages before veteran keeper Mally Haille made two good saves.
Rob Taylor then squared for Scott Taylor to double Greenalls' lead and, although Middlewich struck a post and pulled a goal back after an error from Haille, the same man then produced a second assist to set up skipper Ian Whitfield for a spectacular 20-yard strike.
