GREENALLS Padgate St Oswalds go into the new Mid-Cheshire Soccer League season on the back of two friendly successes this week.
Ian Lomax's men, who entertain champions Middlewich Town at Long Lane in Saturday's 3pm opener, won 5-2 at Tarporley and 4-3 at home against Warrington Soccer League's Guardian Cup holders Stockton Lane.
Rob Taylor took his pre-season tally to four goals with his two strikes against Tarporley, with young Ben Slater also grabbing a brace and Mark Johnson finishing things off.
Two late goals from Alex Gibson, making it five in three games since he joined the club, earned Greenalls' victory against Stockton Lane.
