UPTON passed Warrington's total in the final over to win Saturday's Cheshire County League Second Division battle.
A good opening partnership of 67 between Malcolm Agar, 70, and David Quick, 25, gave Warrington the perfect start but the middle order collapsed and the innings closed at 160 for 9.
Tex Balmer claimed his first five-wicket haul with 5 for 81 and Paul Agar bowled economically with 2 for 42 but Upton reached 161 for the loss of those seven wickets.
Warrington's second team batsmen were not up to the task at Upton and, despite good efforts from B Bray, 33, and B Kapoor, 44, Warrington were rolled over for 163.
Despite good form from H Morris, with 2 for 80 in his 18 overs, dropped catches proved costly and Warrington were soundly beaten by eight wickets.
A century of 114 from Tim Rothwell, with supporting rolls from Jake Shackleford, 28, and Brian Boys, 35, formed the basis of a good total of 243 for 6 for Warrington's thirds at Oxton but the visitors' bowling was severely savaged and they lost by two wickets.
