Warrington Wizards 56 Bradford Demons 16 WARRINGTON Wizards head coach Eddie Harris is urging his players to maintain their high levels of effort for the rest of the season.
Wizards, who have no match this weekend, produced a sparkling performance to destroy reigning champions Bradford Demons in LHF Healthplan National League Three at Wilderspool on Saturday.
That was the sixth straight win for a Wizards side that are beginning to put pressure on the teams above them in the run-in to the end of the regular league season.
Harris was understandably delighted with his side's display and said: "The performance was very special indeed.
"We were excellent at Hemel the previous week and we surpassed that against an in-form Bradford side.
"The lads are playing some great rugby at the moment.
"The effort that they are putting in on the training field is paying rich dividends during games.
"The confidence within the camp is sky high at the moment.
"We just need to ensure that we continue in the same vein for the rest of the season."
Wizards played some fast open rugby that caused no end of problems for an overworked Demons' defence as they built up a 26-4 half-time lead.
Man of the match Matt Wilson had a field day with his barnstorming runs, two of which provided tries for Mark Roughneen and Chris Campbell during the first half, with other tries being added by Alan Kilshaw and Campbell again.
Two Wilson breaks early in the second half provided Kilshaw with two tries, completing his hat-trick, while Chris Malone, Chris Mellor and Scott Davidson also touched down.
