WARRINGTON Anglers' Association's catch of the week must go to Phil Waywell, who had a fantastic carping session at Grey Mist Mere.
He failed to catch a single carp but he was not bothered because he landed a fantastic quintet of tench - two just over 7lbs, fish of 7lbs 10ozs 0drms and 9-8-0, but they were topped by a massive specimen and personal best which weighed in at 11-12-0.
For the record, the fish was caught on boilies and measured 64 centimetres in length.
The large lake at Sandiway produced a 24lb common carp for member Robert Fisher, with the carp among a catch of bream and tench weighing up to 8lbs. All fell for legered Source boilies.
