WARRINGTON Schoolboys’ under 14s suffered an extra time reverse in the final of the North West Cup last week.
They twice fought back to restore parity after falling behind, only to succumb in the added half hour against favourites Liverpool at Culcheth.
“It’s our second final of the season so we whould be proud,” said manager Darron Bibby.
James Baillie blasted in from long distance to cancel out their opponents’ early opener, but Liverpool edged back ahead before half time following a counter-attack.
Warrington were back on terms in the second half when Josh Brownhill conjured a chance that Andy Williams converted.
But it was Liverpool that nicked a winner.
