MATT King was as modest as ever after his hat-trick of tries helped Warrington Wolves defeat Wigan Warriors and book a place at Wembley’s Challenge Cup Final for the first time in 19 years.
“There’s bigger stories than me scoring a couple of tries,” he said.
“I thought Mick Monaghan played the house down, he was on fire.
“Briersy played well, too, and I was just the lucky one putting the ball down. I didn’t have to do too much and I thought it was a great team effort.”
He thoroughly enjoyed the celebrations with the fans afterwards.
“That was good and if the fans didn’t enjoy that then something’s wrong.
“It was a great atmosphere out there and it was great to be a part of it.”
