KELLY Chadwick was star of the show at Warrington Athletics Club’s annual George Edwards Memorial Open meeting at Victoria Park.
Nine-year-old Chadwick revised her own club records in the 75m, 150m and long jump in the under 11s age group.
In the 75m she improved 0.2 seconds to 11.2 seconds and, after jumping 4.07m in the long jump, she smashed her time in the 150m, reducing it from 23.0 to 22.2 seconds despite a shoelace coming undone around the halfway point.
Ashley Kirsopp was also in record-breaking form, beating his own best in the under 13s boys’ 75m hurdles by running 12.3 seconds.
Entry figures were high with around 250 athletes competing.
