WARRINGTON Wizards travel to Gateshead Storm in the Co-operative Rugby League Conference National on Saturday looking to bounce back from Sunday’s defeat to Hemel.

Following the defeat to the Stags, player/coach Alan Kilshaw said: “There is a lot of regret and disappointment in the camp with the result of the game but if we can play like we did for 60 minutes every week and convert that to 80 minutes then we won’t be far away.

“We were a bit slack with the ball and as a consequence all the defending that we did was always going to affect us at the back end of the game.”

Kilshaw added: “Our preparation was affected by the late withdrawal of a couple of players but I am confident that if we can put a good run together and stay healthy then we will be in the mix come October.

“We are now focusing all of our energies on our next game at Gateshead on Saturday. They have some quality players in their side but haven’t got the results yet that their efforts have deserved.

“We must make sure that we prepare ourselves properly and go out and put in a performance that will gain us the three points.”

For Saturday’s game Kilshaw will be hoping that loose forward Alan Reddecliff has recovered from illness to return to the side.
