BEN Westwood has escaped punsihment for a high tackle on Hull KR's Shaun Briscoe in Saturday's 25-24 Carnegie Challenge Cup victory.
The Wolves second row caught his opponent high in the 56th minute and has only been handed a formal caution after a Rugby Football League disciplinary panel reviewed the incident.
Stanley Gene has also avoided a ban for a high tackle on Warrington centre Simon Grix in the 11th minute of the quarter final tie, although he will be sent a warning letter.
The incident brought back memories of a flashpoint in the Super League clash at Craven Park last season when Gene committed a similar offence on Grix.
That time, Gene's high tackle brought a premature end to his opponent's match and caused Grix to miss three months of the season due to an ankle injury sustained during the challenge.
