WARRINGTON Service Area co-ordinator Alan Kilshaw has paid tribute to a successful campaign which ended with two wins from four games against Halton.
He emphasised that winning is not essential.
“The Service Area representative programme is all about development of young players and performance,” he said.
“It has been an excellent programme and I’m looking forward to seeing how many Warrington players are now selected for the district series which sees South Lancashire take on North Lancashire.
“All the staff have been magnificent throughout the programme, with a lot of them going above and beyond on a regular basis.”
Warrington’s under 13s and under 14s produced the wins in the final round against Halton.
Tries came from Ryan, two, Whittaker and Ryder in the under 13s’ 24-8 success, with Ditchfield adding three conversions.
Lewis Charnock and Saviello both bagged braces of tries in the under 14s 34-20 triumph, with Woodhall also touching down and Charnock adding a conversion.
The under 12s’ only try in a 22-4 defeat came from Stapleton, while Moores crossed twice and Hodgkiss kicked two goals in the under 15s’ 32-12 loss.
