Dewsbury Celtic 34 Warrington Wizards 46

A STERLING second-half performance saw Warrington Wizards defeat Dewsbury Celtic at Crow Nest Park.

Wizards opened the scoring with tries from Billy Sheen and Adam Gorman.

Celtic hit back with two tries but Wizards regained the lead courtesy of Alan Reddecliff.

Wizards were temporarily reduced to 12 men when John Welch was sin-binned for tripping and Celtic took advantage with a converted try giving Celtic a slender 18-16 half-time lead.

Wizards were once again reduced to 12 men when Mike Leicester received a yellow card for dissent.

But tries from Reddecliff and Warren Ayres put Wizards back in front.

Celtic centre Jamie Graves was sin binned for fighting on 54 minutes, while Wizards had Welch dismissed for retaliation.

From the resultant penalty, Reddecliff completed his hat-trick.

Celtiic pulled four points back but Wizards responded when Kilshaw put Chris Campbell over.

Foulstone pounced on a dropped ball and raced 90 metres to score and narrow the gap to eight points.

But Wizards refused to panic and Reddecliff scored his fourth try before Campbell hacked on Kilshaw’s kick to touch down his second.
