THERE were a few familiar faces in the crowd at The Halliwell Jones Stadium during Wolves' 16-8 win against Wigan at the weekend.

Several players from Premier League football side Blackburn Rovers were in attendance, presumably to show support for Wolves physio John Hartley, Rovers' former assistant physio.

New Zealand international and Rovers skipper Ryan Nelson, Paraguayan striker Roque Santa Cruz, a £20million target for big-spending Manchester City, and Australian Brett Emerton all enjoyed the game.

Injured Wolves star Chris Hicks was suited and booted as he watched from the stands, while another injured player, Paul Johnson, was joined by former Bradford teammate Karl Pryce, who now plays for Wigan.
