ADRIAN Morley and Garreth Carvell enhanced their reputation as one of the most devastating partnerships in Super League with a towering display against Wigan on Friday.

The powerful pair led from the front as they consistently blasted holes in the Warriors defence to set up a 16-8 win.

And head of coaching and rugby Tony Smith paid tribute to his two prop forwards for their role in Wolves recent turnaround, even labelling Morley 'a machine'.

He said: "It’s hard to split Carvs and Mozzer, the way they worked together.

"They’ve both been very good.

"Carvs has just had a few penalties in him lately, that’s probably been the only thing. His attack’s been terrific and there are some other areas he’s been working on.

"Together they’ve been very good. The skipper’s been leading like a man possessed at the moment.

"I think he’s disappointed he had to sit out a couple of weeks with a broken hand and he’s making up for it. He’s just a machine.

"I thought our whole forward pack worked really hard defensively and the backs as well.

"We worked really hard as a team but our forwards have been pretty dominant in recent weeks."
