WARRINGTON Town are giving fans the chance to buy shares in the club.

A minimum purchase of five shares for £50 are now available, following on from a restructure that saw 10 Warrington businessmen form the social club into a limited company last November.

That move wiped out crippling debts and saved the club from liquidation.

Now the directors are looking to move forward.

A total of 1,000 shares have been issued with the aim of raising £10,000 towards next season’s budget.

Anyone interested in becoming a shareholder in the club, with full voting rights, should contact 413210 for an application form.

Season tickets, which include admittance to all home cup ties, have gone on sale for next season, priced £100 for adults and £80 concessions.

At the end of July the prices will increase to £120 and £100 concessions. Ground admission will remain at £7 per game next season, £4 concessions.

Children aged under 16 will again be allowed free admission next season, as will all Warrington Borough Transport Saver Card users aged under 19.

It is likely to be the end of the month before Town know whether they will be playing in the north or south section of the UniBond League First Division in 2009/10.

Town shot stopper Ritchie Mottram won a hat-trick of awards at the club’s end-of-season presentation night when Liverpool and England legend Ian St John was on hand to present the trophies.

Mottram won the players’ player of the year and supporters’ club player of the year awards as well as the Roger Warburton Memorial Trophy.

Leading goal scorer Chris Gaghan collected the manager’s player of the year award, while club president Eric Shaw, who has been involved at the club for more than 50 years, was presented with the clubman of the year award by football chairman Dave Hughes.
