WARRINGTON-based cheerleading club Independance claimed a magnificent seven titles at Sunday’s United Kingdom Cheerleading Association Club Championships.
Entering seven teams into the competition at the Manchester Velodrome, Independance came away with a perfect record, winning in the teenies, under nines, junior A, under 12s, junior B, under 16s and senior categories.
In addition, the national coach of the year 2009 award for club development and achievement was presented to head coach Jenny Gittins. Fellow coach Cath Butler has also been instrumental in coaching all the teams.
