A HAT-TRICK by Mark Critchley was the highlight as Stretton beat Chester County Officers by four wickets in Meller Braggins Cheshire League Division Three.
It was the Critchley show with the ball as Stretton bowled Chester out for 160 with Paul and Mark picking up four wickets, each with youngster Steve picking up the other two.
After a solid opening partnership it came down to the last over for Stretton to secure the win, with coach Garrod, 32 not out, scoring the winning runs.
The second XI had an easy victory against Mere.
Dave Smythe took 7 for 31 as they bowled out Mere for 120.
Stretton knocked off the runs with Andrew Hughes ending on 53 not out, ably supported by Jack Hindle, 31.
