WARRINGTON Athletics Club gained success in Friday’s Christleton Village 5k race.
The women’s team of Heather Timmins, Louisa Wood and Rachel Jefferson finished first, while Timmins was back in good shape as she added the women’s individual title in 17mins 28secs.
She was closely followed by Wood, who ran a personal best time of 17mins 34secs in second place, and the team was brought home by Jefferson, who also ran a personal best of 19mins 14secs.
In the men’s section, Paul Hicken set a personal best time of 16mins 48secs.
He was closely followed by James Ellis with 16mins 55secs.
Steve Burthem was also in action, completing the course in 18mins 2secs.
