A WEAKENED Warrington under 15s team overcame Appleton’s under 15s at Lyons Lane on Sunday morning.
Tight and disciplined bowling restricted Appleton to 68 in their allotted 25 overs.
In reply, Warrington reached their target in just 12 overs without the loss of a wicket.
Tom Lees, 41 not out, and Tom Clutterbuck, 20 not out, led the way.
Warrington’s under 14s team also won, beating Alvanley in a tight game by seven runs.
Charlie Loy, 50 not out, was the highest in a score of 129 and a good fielding display meant that the visitors to Walton Lea fell short of their target. Oliver Walker starred in the bowling display.
The under 13s fell 29 runs short in their game at Sale.
Chris Colligan, 2 for 10, and Aaron Chaderton, 24 not out, starred in a promising display.
