Pilkington Recs 60 Bank Quay Bulls 18
A BANK Quay side missing nine regular players crashed out of the North West Counties Premiership Cup at the semi final stage.
Despite the lack of key players, Bulls made a good start and took the lead when Jamie Evans found a gap in the defence to score a try which Anthony Braide converted.
But that was the only bright point, as the hosts turned the rest of the half into a procession to the try line, taking a 36-6 half time lead.
Paul Cragg scored an individual effort after the break, Anthony Braide converting, and Ste Caley out-jumped the Pilkingtons defence to score a further Bulls try, Ste Bird adding the extras.
But Bank Quay were then outplayed by the cup holders, despite the efforts of Bird, Cragg and Caley.
Bulls now have to pick themselves up for their last chance of a trophy this season when they travel to Crosfields on May 9 for the semi final of the Carlsberg Warrington Cup.
Kick off at Hood Lane will be 2.30pm.
