GEORGIA Twadell has been crowned the North West British Young Riders Dressage Scheme (BYRDS) Fledgling Champion.
The St Margarets Primary School pupil, competing with her pony Joey, received the highest points given for two different tests at the Somerford Park event in Holmes Chapel.
This success gives Georgia, a member of the Arley Moss Riding School, a good chance of getting in the North West BYRDS dressage team for the UK inter-region competition this summer.
Georgia, who has been riding for three years, came third in the preliminary competition at the Aintree International Equestrian Centre Junior Dressage Championships last year.
