LOUIS Anderson is hoping he will still be playing alongside his brother next season.

The Kiwi international followed Vinnie to Warrington in 2008 and signed a two-year extension to his contract last week.

But Vinnie, who replaced injured Louis in the back row at the weekend as Wolves defeated Huddersfield Giants, is not yet contracted beyond 2009.

“It’ll be good to see Vinnie stay, obviously with being his brother,” said Louis.

“I know what’s on his mind if he does settle soon. I know he’ll be happy to stay here.”

The 23-year-old laughed off suggestions of any temptation to have joined his other brother, Fraser, who has made a successful switch to Japanese rugby union from the NRL.

“It doesn’t matter where one of my brothers is, there’s always going to be talk of ‘Is your other brother going to join you?’ “Fraser’s hit it off there, I’ve signed here and I’m happy here.

“I just want to be part of the future of this club.”

That is a strong statement in itself given the unsettling times over the past 11 months.

Louis and his teammates are now working under a third boss since last May at The Halliwell Jones Stadium but he is confident the club are getting things right.

“It can have a little bit of an effect on all the players when everything is a bit unsettled.

“I’m thinking that things are getting better now and hopefully we can move forward from here.

“I can see the club’s potential. Everyone knows how good it is and what was achieved against Bradford and Huddersfield.

“I just want to see fulfilment of the talent that we’ve got here.”

Louis is not satisfied with his own performances so far and is backing his time with the club to get the best out of himself.

“I’m like most of the boys in the team in that I know I’ve a lot to improve on,” he said.

“I’m definitely not content with the way I’m playing at the moment.”

Louis did not train fully between the Bradford and Huddersfield games because of a rib injury, which might keep him out of the running for the trip to Edinburgh.

“I’m not too sure how long I’m going to be out,” he said.

“Dudes have said they’ve played a couple of weeks after this injury, others have said six weeks.

“I’m just seeing how much better it is each day. Hopefully I’ll be available for the game in Scotland but it’ll be hard to get back in the team after the performance against Huddersfield.

“After the win at Bradford there was a confidence boost on the pitch and the boys didn’t want to let that go against Huddersfield.

“And that meant coming out and winning again. They definitely showed some good signs on Sunday and it was good to see they backed up from the previous week.

“Hopefully this weekend will be the same and we start getting a bit of consistency.”
