PAUL Wood is anticipating a tough physical challenge when Wolves take on Huddersfield Giants on Sunday.

Giants have one of the most formidable packs in Super League and before last week’s defeat to Leeds they had registered six straight wins.

Prop forward Wood is relishing the chance to lock horns in a forward battle but is wart of a Giants backlash as the Yorkshire side look to get back on the winning trail.

He said: “They’re one of the form teams in Super League, defensively they’ve been pretty solid and they’ve shown some good attacking skill.

“Especially coming off the back of a loss to Leeds I think they’re going to be hurting a bit.

“So we’re concentrating fully on Huddersfield and hopefully we won’t start believing that we’re better than we are just because we’ve had one good win.

”They are literally the Giants. They have got some big lads and I think there’s only Paul Jackson who’s under 6ft in their forwards.

“It’s going to be a tough game, it always is with Huddersfield because they’ve always been a tough team and they always work well for each other.

”They’ve improved attacking-wise so we need to make sure our defence is good and play to the best of our ability.

“If we do, I think we’ll come away with a win but it all comes down to the day and how we turn up.”
