MOORE United worked hard to beat Malpas 2-1 in Cheshire Football League Division Two.
They took the lead courtesy of Scott Taylor but Malpas levelled from the spot.
The game seemed destined for a draw until Scott Taylor's back heel was poked home by Paul Shaw.
Moore host Warrington Town Reserves at Long Lane on Saturday in a promotion-deciding match, kick off 3pm.
