Ruskin Park 6 Warrington 10
WARRINGTON finished second in South Lancashire and Cheshire Two despite a hard-fought victory against a strong Ruskin side on Saturday.
Entering the final game with a chance of winning the title, Warrington did their job but Anselmians beat Douglas 50-10 to secure first place.
Warrington’s winning try came when Ruskin attacked with a three-on-one overlap. Winger Mark Tickle had no choice but to gamble on the interception and it paid off as he raced 60 metres to score.
Warrington, guaranteed promotion to South Lancashire and Cheshire One, play Hutton this weekend in the semi finals of the Lancashire Plate.
