WARRINGTON Wizards return to action on Saturday when they travel to league newcomers Nottingham Outlaws in the Co-operative Rugby League Conference National.

Looking to bounce back following their home defeat to Bramley Buffaloes last time out, Wizards face a Nottingham side who were the RLC Premier Division Champions last season.

Player/coach Alan Kilshaw knows his side have much to prove.

He said: “We were all bitterly disappointed with the way we performed against the Buffaloes, especially in the first half but we know that we are better than we showed that day and we must now go out and prove it against a Nottingham side who will be really fired up as it is their first home game at this level.

“Training has gone really well and the lads have knuckled down and are eager to get back to winning ways at the first opportunity.”

Kilshaw added: “Nottingham won their opening fixture at Featherstone Lions in a high-scoring encounter and on Sunday they put up a very good performance at Bramley before going down to a 38-20 defeat, so we know that we will have to be at our best if we want to come away with the three points.”

The coach leaves the Village Hotel at 9.30am for any supporters wishing to travel.
