GREG Lewis was Warrington's highest-placed finisher in the weekend's Wirral 100 Motor Club event at Oulton Park.
Hitting a best speed of almost 91mph, Lewis, from Woolston, was sixth in race number seven of the Powerbikes and F600 S/Frame competition, clocking a total time of 9mins 4.999secs for his five laps.
In that race he finished one place ahead of Birchwood's Kevin Sweeney (9mins 18.174secs), while Padgate's Jeff Dobson (9mins 35.381secs) came home 13th.
Lewis and Sweeney returned to the track for race 14, with Lewis taking ninth spot after clocking 8mins 59.124secs for his five laps, while Sweeney was 18th with 9mins 16.337secs.
Lewis hit a high of 91.445mph in that race, recording a best lap time of 1min 45.979secs.
