WOLVES first-team coach Jimmy Lowes would love nothing better than to get one over his old team tonight and get Wolves’ season back on track.

Lowes heads back to Odsal, where he spent eight years as a player with Bradford, winning two Super League titles during a stellar career.

The former Super League Man of Steel always enjoys the trips to his old stomping ground but hopes to silence the fans who once idolised him.

He said: “It’s a fantastic place to play rugby and a good old fashioned ground. If there’s a good crowd they get up there.

“I personally look forward to going back there and, as a team, you need to be really confident and up for the game because if you’re not, it’s a place where you will get found out.

“So we’ve got to be ready for that and take the game to the Bulls.

“I’d love to win there but it’s massive for the lads as well.

“They’re working extremely hard to put things right. They’re rolling their sleeves up and doing everything we ask them.

“Unfortunately, chopping and changing with injuries and chopping and changing with coaches takes its toll a little bit so we’re hoping to go to Odsal and take the game to them.”

After a gruelling Easter weekend during which Wolves lost both their games, Lowes called on the RFL to reconsider Easter scheduling.

He believes quality suffered across the board in the second round of games over the weekend as a result of tired bodies and minds.

He said: "The Cas game was a really flat game and had a strange atmosphere.

"These Easter weekends need to be looked at regarding the quality of game. There were two teams who were as tired as each other, we both had physical battles in our previous games.

"It took its toll on us.

"But the story of the season is that we're creating chances but not taking them.

"During that first half we put ourselves in good position, didn't take the chances and we had very little good opportunities in the second half."
