CHRIS Hicks is aiming for a major improvement in his game after a disappointing start to the current campaign.

After an impressive first season in Super League, the Australian wing or full back has been unhappy with his form as Wolves have struggled this year.

But Hicks is determined to put in the work both individually and collectively to bring a turnaround in fortunes.

He said: "Recently, I don't think I've played that well this season and I've got a lot of improvement left in my game.

"There's two thirds of the season to go so I really want to turn it on for the remainder.

"We've got faith in our ability. We know we're a good team, we've just got to start really concentrating on our performance week in, week out.

"When we do that I think we're pretty hard to stop.

"I'm sure we can turn the season round. I know we're about a third of the way through it now and it hasn't gone to plan so far but we still have a large proportion of the season where we can turn it round and make it a positive one."

Wolves travel to Bradford tonight, with Bulls sat just one place and one point above them in the Super League table.

Hicks admits it is a surprise to see both teams struggling at the wrong end of the table and expects a real battle as they jostle for position.

He said: "No matter where they are in the table, they're always going to be tough to beat up there.

"They played Leeds on the weekend and rolled them, so they're a very good football team.

"But I think we're a very good football team, we've just got to start doing the little things right.

"We've got it in us, we can beat anyone and we'll be going there confident.

"They've got class all across the park.

"We've got to roll our sleeves up and be prepared for a really tough battle because that's what it's going to be."
