BEN Westwood is pleased that Castleford Tigers have been doing well this year.

Although Westwood is from Wakefield, Castleford, who visit Warrington Wolves on Monday, were the team he watched as a boy.

The 27-year-old Wolves and England back rower liked how 'Classy Cas' were entertaining with the ball, a reputation they are living up to this season as they have racked up even more points in eight games than current champions Leeds Rhinos.

Cas, who slipped up on Good Friday with a 35-6 home defeat to unpredictable Wakefield, visit The Halliwell Jones Stadium in seventh spot with five wins to their name, compared to Warrington’s two.

Westwood said: “They’ve always been good with the ball. Defence over the years has let them down.

“They’ve always scored some classy tries and this year I think they’ve picked up their defence and brought in some good players.

“They’ll be a good challenge for us and it’s one that we’re looking forward to.

“Castleford are the team I supported when I was a kid and I’m pleased for them to be doing well.

“But I’ve set my sights on Warrington now and when it comes to playing against them I hope they don’t do too well.”
