Rochdale 14 Lymm 36

LYMM have now taken 20 points from 22 on offer since early December after beating North Two West leaders Rochdale.

Victory took Lymm into third place, with a mathematical chance of reaching the play offs.

Rochdale opened the scoring through Flitcroft on 13 minutes, Collins converting.

After that, Lymm’s defence held firm as the Rochdale pack exploited gaps around the ruck but were unable to get through.

But the visitors responded when Tim Hughes sent in David Williamson. Swetman converted.

Lymm upped their game and Hughes scored a second, Swetman converting before Jack Johnstone flew over from 25 metres.

Darius Miksys sent in Swetman, who converted himself and Kinsey set free Johnstone to score from 75 metres.

Swetman scored again before a Rochdale consolation.
