LATCHFORD were unlucky to lose a pulsating clash with Golborne Parkside.
Albion took the lead when Matt Patterson fended off three defenders to score, Owen converting.
Parkside replied with a try and goal, before taking the lead with another converted score on 30 minutes.
Latchford responded well in the second half and were rewarded with a well-taken try by Steve Worrall after the ball swept through seven pairs of hands. Owen goaled.
In an end-to-end game, something had to give and the result was finalised with five minutes to go when Parkside crashed over.
Best for Latchford were Matt Patterson, John Hill and Dave Gaskell in the forwards, Danny Brown Nick Owen and Gavin Bishop in the backs.
Latchford’s next game is a Warrington Cup semi final against Rylands at Victoria Park.
