DAVID McIntyre has his daughter to thank after he won the Poulton Park Golf Club Captain’s Drive-in competition.
Eight-year-old Kirsty became the first member of the new under 10s and her father has been practising with her on the new short game area ever since.
The extra practice, coupled with lessons from club professional Ian Orrell, reaped rewards for David when he shot a net 65 to win the Drive-in.
Student Peter Hall took the best gross prize with a fine 71 and came third overall.
The happiest man on the day was Ken Barker who, despite the wind on the high par three 15th, watched the ball drop down and roll straight in for his first hole-in-one.
