MONK Sports progressed to the Warrington Sunday Soccer League Denis Scholes Challenge Cup Final with a 3-0 win over Oakwood.

Scorers were Gareth Johns, Rob Hanley and Craig Hoyland.

OCS and Grappenhall Sports were tied at 1-1 after 90 minutes of their Red Lion Cup semi final, before a Stuart Norman brace took Grappenhall into the final. Chris Simm scored for OCS.

In the other semi final, Brook FC won 2-1 against Blackburne Arms, goals coming from Ashley Chester and Josh Evans.

After losing a man 15 minutes in, Pierpoints lost 6-2 to Halton Arms in their Premier Division clash. Sean Harris and Matthew Bell netted for Pierpoints.

Despite goals from Matty Adams and Nathan Duxbury, Vulcan lost to Hale FC 4-2.

In Division One, a brace from Alpha Care’s Ian O’Rourke was enough to earn his side a point in their 2-2 draw with Wilkies Tavern, who scored twice in the last nine minutes through Mike Bramall.

Jolly Tanner picked up three valuable points in their 2-1 win over La Gente, a Brian Hartley goal and an own goal doing the damage.

P and S Eagle had a goal from Tom Sante in their 1-1 draw against Grange Red Lion.

Sandymoor had two goals apiece from Gavin Johnson and Neil Lindsey in their 4-3 win over The Vine.

Rosies Bar put six goals past Butchers Arms in Division Two.

Butchers’ goals came from Dave Deakin and Chris Hall.

The only game in Division Three saw a Ste Hitchmough penalty earn Wolf Pack a point against Howley.
