ADRIAN Morley is ready for a homecoming that has been nine years in the making.

The Wolves skipper will lead his team out against Salford at The Willows tomorrow, Friday, just 200 yards from where he learnt to play rugby league at his old school.

Since returning to England in 2007 after a spell in Australia's NRL with Sydney Roosters, Morley has been denied the chance to take to the field in his hometown, missing Warrington's last visit through injury.

His last visit was in 2000, while still a Leeds player.

Salford born and bred Adrian watched the Reds as a child, was a Junior Red Devil and still lives in the city with girlfriend Clare and two-year old son Leo, who the big prop was quick to point out is "a true Salfordian, just like his dad".

With Salford full of confidence after their shock Challenge Cup win at Hull, Morley is anticipating a thrilling clash at The Willows.

He said: "Every game between these two teams is special anyway.

"All the fans of both get behind the lads and the atmosphere will be one of the best of the season without a doubt.

"It’s one of the games that they look for when the fixtures first come out.

"I still look out for Salford’s results but obviously I’m a Warrington player through and through so there will be no love lost this weekend. I can’t wait."
